Rebecca Rule and the History of Town Meetings

The Friends of the Miner Memorial Library sponsored a
Humanities Talk by Rebecca Rule today.

What a great speaker!!
She had us all laughing about some of the
things that go on at Town Meetings.
She also included a brief history of town meetings.
They have been going on in New England since the 1600's!
They also only take place in New England.
It was very well attended by folks from the surrounding area.
What a wonderful way to spend a gray afternoon.
