Summer Reading Program with storyteller Simon Brooks!!


The Friends of the Miner Memorial Library 
will be sponsoring our kick off to the 

Summer Reading Program 

with Storyteller Simon Brooks 
on May 25th at the 
Lempster Community School 
at 10am.  

The public is welcome.

Book Sale and Summer Reading Fun!!!!




There will be a 
HUGE! Book Sale 
at the meeting house on June 27th at 10 am 
to benefit the Friends of the Miner Memorial Library.  
What a great time to get all those books for reading at the beach!


The Miner Memorial library 
will be starting its 
Summer Reading Program 
on July 6, at 10 am.  
Children from 6 to 106 are welcome.  


Our theme this year is 
Every Hero Has a Story.
We will be making our own Super Hero costumes, 
have a visit from the Lempster Fire Dept., 
draw Super Hero Comic strips and other fun projects.
There will be a party the final week 
with games and prizes for all our Super Readers.


For children under 6
we will have a 
Story Time 
at 4 pm on Wednesday afternoons.  
They will have prizes for books read to them by parents, 
and some Super Hero projects also.

Programs will last approximately one hour.


The library just received a grant from the 
Libri Foundation and has received 
a wonderful assortment of new books for children of all ages.

Summer Reading Program Starts this Week!



Just a few items for now.

The library will be starting it’s
Summer Reading Program
this Monday the 7th at 11 am. 

We will be experimenting with different kinds of invisible inks.  
We’ll write secret messages, and draw treasure maps.  
If you haven’t registered your child, 
please come a few minutes early to do so.


Our Book of the Month for July is
The All-Girl Filling Station’s Final Reunion
by Fannie Flag. 
It looks like the perfect summer read. 
Drop in to pick up a copy.


Grown-up Game Night
is still going strong we’ll meet again this
Thursday the 10th at 7pm. 
Remember we have air conditioning
and always serve snacks.


Our summer hours are in effect so drop in on Saturdays from 10-2.


Also, if you haven’t been to the Little Log Cabin
it’s a MUST  SEE! 
So many wonderful things to choose from and the fresh baked goods...  Yummmmm!
